Chinese pesticides import and export companies should apply for the release permit of their products based on the goods ID and corresponding product name in the new inventory
On 31 December 2011, two Chinese ministries published the joint announcement No 1706 to update the Chinese Inventory of Management on Imported and Exported Pesticides. The revised inventory made by Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and General Administration of Customs (GAC) has come into force since 1 January 2012; in the meantime the old 2010 version has been annulled.
Pesticides import and export companies should apply for the release permit of their pesticide products based on the Customs goods ID and corresponding product name in the new inventory. Yet during the transitional period between 1 and 31 January, concerned companies, which had been granted the Permit issued by Chinese Ministry of Agriculture before 1 January 2012 and within the valid period, are allowed to conduct Customs declaration following the old inventory specifications. The transition measures stop as of 1 February 2012.
