Disinfectants are widely used in hospital infection control, preventative disinfection and household sanitation, etc. An accurate prediction on product validity is vitally important for the rational use of disinfectants, reduction of medical malpractice and wasting of resources, as well as the environmental impact. All disinfectants need to complete the stability test before entering the market. After 2 decades of study and unceasing perfection, China promulgates GBT 38499-2020 in this March, an official evaluation procedure for the storage stability of disinfectants, which is due to enter into force in October.
