Companies with active substance/product-type combinations that had not received an approval decision by June 7, 2018, now benefit from data protection through December 31, 2030. However, data owners should review their compensation claims for the January–entry-into-force gap, and alternative suppliers should factor the extended protection period into their market entry strategies.
