Of all the 141 pieces of unqualified pesticides, most of them were substandard for incorrect contents of the ais. They were found either inadequately or covertly added with the ais. Furthermore, 11 of the unqualified pesticides were detected with high toxic ingredients added. Mislabeled problems were serious with major defects such as: incorrectly marked with the trademarks; incorrectly labeled with the safety entry intervals and toxic identifications; overstatement of the usable ranges; mislabeled with the names, types and contents of the products; fabrications or expirations of the Registration Certifications.

The Ministry directed its local branches that the disqualified products shall be traced back to their original producers and the suspect producers shall be seized or punished. In serious circumstances, the permits or certifications of the producers shall be revoked or withdrawn. The MoA also named most suspected 6 producers and 9 distributors and asked the local branches to enhance inspections and supervisions on these companies. If illegal activities were verified the companies will be punished accordingly.
