China is the world’s largest producer of abamectin. In China abamectin is also the most widely produced and used biopesticide. More than 2000 pesticide products containing abamectin as the active ingredient are registered in China. The vast majority of registered formulations are emulsifiable concentrates in addition to the dozens of technical grade active ingredient registered. As the main manufacturer of abamectin in China, Hebei Veyong has a production capacity of 350tons per year. The over production and low price of abamectin were corrected by inspection and supervision over abamectin production, however abamectin waste-liquid has not been banned in the production of abamectin EC.

The world’s largest paraquat producer is china, producing more than 80% of paraquat produced worldwide. The production of paraquat SL in China for the domestic market is prohibited since July 1, 2014. The first paraquat formulated product other than SL has just got a production approval by the largest Paraquat manufacturer REDSUN. Several new paraquat formulations are being developed. The conditions to produce paraquat formulated product other than SL are due for release. Out of a total of 41 registration certificates 7 registration certificate of SL formulation for export remain valid. There are primarily three methods used in the treatment of waste water occurring in the manufacturing of paraquat. 

The GB 2763-2014 , which was issued under the Joint Announcement of MOA and MOH on Mar 20th 2014, will take effect on Aug 1 2014. Compare with its precursor, GB2763-2014 set 3,650 limits 12 categories and 284 kinds of food commodity, a noticeable expansion upon the 2012 version, in which limits of 10 categories and 284 kinds of food were provided. The primary produce such as fruit juice and dried fruit will firstly be subject to Chinese MRLs.

The Ministry of Agriculture shall be the authority for the examination and approval of the right in new varieties of agricultural plants and the Office for Protection of New Varieties of Agricultural Plants under the Ministry of Agriculture shall undertake the tasks of receiving and examination of application for variety right, and shall be responsible for organizing the testing of new plant varieties and the storage of the propagating materials.

The Law was adopted at the 2nd Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress on July 2, 1993, amended at the 31st Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People’s Congress and promulgated by Order No. 81 of the President of the People’s Republic of China on December 28, 2002.

The Law was adopted at the 16th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress on July 8, 2000, promulgated by Order No. 34 of the President of the People’s Republic of China on July 8, 2000, and amended in accordance with the Decision on Amending the Seed Law of the People's Republic of China, adopted at the 11th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress on August 28, 2004. Activities such as variety selection and production of, trading in, use and management of seeds engaged in within the territory of the People's Republic of China must conform to this Law.
