List of 70 Pesticide Products to be Prohibited and Restricted in China in 2023
According to the list of banned and restricted pesticide products in China, the ban dates of some pesticide products are approaching.
2,4-D butylate will be banned from January 23, 2023. Methyl bromide can be used for “quarantine fumigation treatment” and is forbidden in agriculture. Methidathion has no registered preparation. The legally produced products of Phorate, Isofenphos-methyl, Isocarbophos and Ethoprophos can be sold and used within the warranty period and will be prohibited for sale and use from September 1, 2024.

How to Register for Me-Too Technical Material Under China New Pesticide Regulation?
According to the Pesticide Registration Data Requirements, the registration of chemical pesticide technical material (technical concentrate) is divided into the registration of new pesticide technical material (TC), the registration of non-identical technical material (TC) and the registration of me-too technical material (TC). Compared with the registration of new and non-identical TC, the registration of me-too technical material requires fewer test data and expenses, and the corresponding registration period is shortened from four years to about one year.

China Carries out Paperless Customs Procedures for Pesticides
On December 31, 2021, the Chinese Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs (MoARA) and the General Administration of Customs (GAC) jointly issued Announcement 416 to implement the electronic customs clearance of imported and exported pesticides. The announcement explains the qualification of pesticides and business entities data requirement, and procedures, as well as releases the latest version of “List of Pesticides Subject to Import and Export Management”.
