On 16 Dec 2014, the 16th session of the 8th National Expert Committee for Pesticide Registration was held in Beijing. The session reviewed the full registration of novel active ingredients of 15 products, which were submitted by 8 applicants.
The committee finally agreed to approve the full registration of Syngenta’s sedaxane fungicide, d-teflumethrin, PuGV and nosema locustae.
Before the approval of full registration, these novel active ingredients can be temporarily registered for 3 years at maximum:
Syngenta currently holds 3 temporary registrations on sedaxane, one of them is TC registration and other two are suspension concentrates for seed dressing (FSC) on corn;
d-teflumethrin was primarily registered as a mosquito coil incense for residential use by several domestic producers;
A Beijing company currently holds two registration for nosema locustae against Locusta migratoria manilensis on non-cultivated land area;
