Vietnam to Officially Abolish Quality Pre-Inspection for Imported Fertilizers Starting July 1
Recently, according to Resolution No. 66.19/2026/NQ-CP issued by the Vietnamese Government, Vietnam will officially abolish the national quality inspection procedure (commonly referred to as "pre-inspection") for imported fertilizers starting July 1, 2026.

The Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (BNNMT) has issued Circular No. 75/2025/TT-BNNMT, establishing the consolidated “List of Plant Protection Products Permitted for Use in Vietnam” and the “List of Plant Protection Products Banned from Use in Vietnam.”

Vietnam Bans 10 Active Substances from Use in Biocides
On June 19, 2020, The Vietnamese Ministry of Health promulgated Circular 11/2020/TT-BYT, aimed to renew the list of active ingredients prohibited or restricted from uses in household insecticides and disinfectants. A total of 10 active ingredients were added into the prohibited list, namely Chlorpyrifos ethyl, Hexythiazox, Fipronil, Beta-cyfluthrin, Cyfluthrin, Trichlorfon, Diazinon, Acephate, Malathion and Methanol.
