On April 19, CropLife Brazil estimated that sales of biopesticide in Brazil are expected to grow 33% to R$ 1.789 billion in 2021 and R$ 3.699 billion by 2030, based on data collected by Consultancy Blink.
Currently, about 33% of the crop area is totally or partially treated with biopesticides and 20% of the growers are constant users. In recent 5 years, the market size has doubled every 2 years.
Because of the capitalization level and high incidence of pests and diseases, soybean has been a gateway by the industry. It is estimated that the soybean biopesticide market will grow from R$ 596 million in 2020 to R$ 829 million in 2021.
Sugarcane businesses also have promising projections, a segment where the organic market tends to grow from R$ 264 million in 2020 to R$ 353 million this year, according to the survey.
