On December 20 2013, China ICAMA held a penal discussion regarding a control list of the adjuvants in pesticide products.
Experts at the conference acknowledged the expertise of developed countries/regions such as USA, Canada, Australia, EU and Taiwan in terms of the management over adjuvants. To break the current loose management, China will formulate the list and adopt the classification system on agrochemical adjuvants accordingly. The attendees also discussed the necessity and feasibility of a control list, which will consist of 12 banned substances and 78 restricted substances.
The discussion turned out to be quite conclusive with ICAMA recognizing the imperative for China’s management on adjuvants and the list will be published in the near future.
