From the 13th to the 24th of October 2014, the US EPA GLP official Francisca E. Liem visited China where she engaged in a panel discussion with China ICAMA on GLP MAD issues.
Ms. Francisca E. Liem conducted a full compatibility evaluation between the two regions GLP regulations, guidelines, inspection documents, procedures and archiving.
China MoA officials have asserted that a MAD agreement between China and US will offer significant advantages to both sides in terms of trade facilitation and ultimately economic growth. MoA also stressed the importance of GLP management in China’s pesticide industry and encouraged testing facilities to build GLP systems and apply for GLP accreditation.
EPA’s visit to China was launched under the LOI on GLP collaboration between China and the US, which was signed in 2013. Ending on a positive note the US EPA delegate concluded that China’s GLP management system displayed excellent compatibility with EPA’s GLP requirements. It is also expected that final MOU on GLP collaboration would be reached after China completed its own evaluation of EPA’s GLP system.
