China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) has released two new agricultural industry standards that introduce standardized requirements for the evaluation of pesticide metabolites under the country’s pesticide registration framework: NY/T XXXX-202X — Toxicological Evaluation Procedures for Major Pesticide Metabolites NY/T 2882.11-202X — Environmental Risk Assessment Guidance, Part 11: Pesticide Metabolites

Recently, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (ICAMA) released the list of new pesticide products proposed for registration approval. L. japonica Polysaccharides, a new biopesticide product submitted by Laboratoires Goëmar (France), is prominently featured on the list.

In recent years, fluorine-containing pesticides have become the absolute mainstream in new pesticide R&D, thanks to their high efficacy, low toxicity, and high selectivity.

Recently, China's National Health Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly released the National Food Safety Standard: Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Food (GB 2763-2026), which will be implemented starting March 1, 2026.

The first new biochemical pesticide registration by a foreign enterprise, based entirely on Chinese GLP data, has been successfully approved since the implementation of China's new pesticide regulations eight years ago.

Recently, fourteen departments, including the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), jointly issued the Action Plan for the Special Governance of Quality and Safety of Online Sales of Industrial Products (2025–2027) (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan").

In June 2025, China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) released Announcement No. 925 (hereinafter referred to as the "Announcement"), making important revisions and detailed specifications to the labeling requirements for pesticide labels and instructions.

Technical material refers technical-grade materials and technical concentrates, also known as technical-grade active ingredient (TGAI). TGAI forms the foundation for all formulated pesticide products. It is the product obtained directly from the manufacturing process, containing the active ingredient (AI) together with any associated impurities, and in some cases, small quantities of necessary adjuvants. Technical materials are not market-ready products; rather, they are the source material from which various pesticide formulations are developed.

In pesticide manufacturing, a Technical Concentrate (TC) refers to the material obtained from the production process that contains the active ingredient (AI) together with any associated impurities. It may also contain small amounts of essential additives required for stability or handling.
