The ranking lists include: - 2017 China Top 100 Pesticide Enterprises: the seventh edition - 2017 China Top 30 Pesticide Formulation Enterprises: the sixth edition - 2017 China Top Selling Pesticide Brands: the third edition The release of the list of 2017 China Top 100 Pesticide Enterprises is expected to have two positive effects on the pesticide industry in China: 1. To find out promising pesticide enterprises and encourage them to build brand advantages and boost their development; 2. To provide market information for pesticide enterprises so that they can know about their positions in the industry and then set up proper goals. The total combined pesticide revenue of 2017 China top 100 pesticide enterprises reached USD16.55 billion in 2016, with a year-on-year decrease of 0.77%; while the total pesticide formulation revenue of 2017 China top 30 pesticide formulations enterprises was USD2.16 billion, down by 12.34% year on year. Here is the Editor's Note for you to know about the June issue specifically: News in this issue included: At the 18th China Development Forum, Monsanto CEO and Chairman Hugh Grant attended as the guest speaker in a session titled "The Supply-Side Structural Reform in Agriculture" and the High-Level Dialogue. During his interview, he proposed several suggestions to accelerate agricultural supply-side reform in China. At the Similar of Agricultural Biotechnology Development and Challenges, Dr. Sonya Franklin, supervisor of the Global Regulatory Sciences at Monsanto also aired his views. Sichuan Fuhua is not satisfied with its leading position in Chinese glyphosate TC market, and is developing another herbicide product - glufosinate-ammonium. Li Jianyou, Sichuan Fuhua's China manager disclosed that the company's first-phase 3,000 t/a glufosinate-ammonium project was put into operation in April and relevant products have been put on the market. As of 31 May, Zhejiang Wynca's 30,000 t/a glyphosate TC project has been progressed smoothly. It is predicted that the project will put into trial production in the end of June and put into full production in Aug. After that, the company's glyphosate TC capacity will be up to 80,000 t/a, ranking third in China after Hubei Trisun and Sichuan Fuhua. According to CCM's research, China has many companies that are capable of turning glyphosate mother liquor into phosphate products, and they are Zhejiang Wynca, Sichuan Fuhua, Hubei Trisun, etc. In 2016, Zhejiang Wynca sold 52,300 tonnes of crude sodium pyrophosphate. As of the end of last year, its crude sodium pyrophosphate inventory was reduced to 1,985.11 tonnes.
