The Chinese Standardization Administration (SAC) has recently released the full content of 7 national standards regarding the toxicological study, storage stability test, efficacy evaluation and production management of disinfectants, all of which will be implemented on October 1, 2020.

SAC commented these standards can play an important role in product quality assurance, hospital infection control and household disinfection treatment, as well as the effective response to public health emergencies.

Another national standard “GB/T 38462-2020 Textiles: Non-woven Fabrics for isolation gowns”, will also come into effect on October 1. GB/T 38462-2020  specifies the key performance indicators such as waterproofness, hydrostatic pressure, microbial contaminant, microbial and blood penetration resistance.
