On December 28, 2020, the Chinese Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs issued Announcement 379 to approve 6 new pesticides of Broflanilide, Quinotrione and Allantoin.

To register a new active ingredient, the applicant typically needs to apply the TC/TK (technical grade active ingredient) and formulation registration at the same time and submit the complete dossier including product chemistry, toxicity, efficacy, residue and environmental data following the data requirements specified in the MoARA Announcement 2569.New active ingredients are protected for up to 5 years. If another producer wants to register the relevant TC or formulation, the applicant needs to submit the full data as new pesticides.
