Japan Pesticide Shipment Value Rose by 2.6% in FY 2014

By the end of September 2014 the volume of Japanese shipment slightly dropped by 0.5 %( year on year) to some 195,700 tons. In the same period the value of shipments rose by 2.6% to 34.60 billion Yen.

The shipment value of insecticide, fungicide and herbicide increased by 1.9%, 2.4% and 4.6% respectively and the value of insecticide/fungicide mixtures and PGRs were all stabled.

The shipment volume of insecticide, insecticide/fungicide mixtures and PGRs decreased by 3.1%,1.8% and 1.9% respectively, while the volume of fungicide and herbicide slightly increased by 1.9% and 1.4% respectively.

Of all the major crop categories, the volume of paddy pesticide dropped by 2.2% while the value increased by 2.74%. The volume of fruit pesticide dropped by 0.7^% while the value increased by 0.4%. The volume and value of vegetables and other use pesticide rose slightly.
