Sales of the 28 major Jiangsu pesticide producers have increased by 9.7% to some 23.47 billion CNY in H1 2014;
240,728 tons of chemical pesticide was produced, up by 8.3% year on year;
97,555 tons of the pesticides were exported to overseas market, earning foreign exchange of 5,599 million CNY;

According to statistics from CCPIA’s Jiangsu, sales of the 28 major Jiangsu pesticide producers have increased by 9.7% to some 23.47 billion CNY during the first half of 2014 and the profit totaled 1,842 million CNY, representing 17.3% growth year on year.

The 28 companies produced 240,728 tons of pesticide, including 137,614 tons of herbicide, 54,228 tons of insecticide, 43,108 tons of fungicide, 2,791 tons of plant growth regulator (PGR) and 93 tons of acaricide. 97,558 of the pesticides were exported to overseas market valued at 5,599 million CNY:

Glyphosate output reached 84,578 tons, an increase of 11.7% year on year, followed by butachlor+acetochlor, chlorothalonil, chlorpyrifos and other 13 active ingredients:

Jiangsu is an important pesticide production region in China and approximately one third of the sales of China pesticide products were made by Jiangsu companies. 31 pesticide producers have ranked in China’s Top 100 Pesticide Enterprises in 2013(see Agro Analysis on 17 Jul 2014).
