On 28 Dec 2012, China Ministry of Agricultural (MOA) and General Administration of Customs (GAC) jointly published the Announcement 1880 to update the “Inventory of Pesticide under Import and Export Management in China”.
The revised inventory has listed 1174 categories of goods subject to the management of imported/exported pesticides, as well as their names, HS Codes or CAS numbers. The importers/exporters of the pesticides should apply to the MOA for the “clearance notification for import/export of pesticide” based on the HS Codes and the names in the inventory.
The new inventory has come into force from 1 Jan 2013 and the inventory of 2012 was annulled since then. However the clearance notifications issued before 1 Jan 2013 remains effective as long as they are within the period of validity.
