During the first three quarters of 2014,the total value of Thailand’s agricultural pesticide imports reached 581.9 million USD amounting to some 123,096 tons. In total 238 individual pesticide products were imported into Thailand. Almost 62% of all imports were herbicides, followed by fungicides at 18% and insecticides at 17%.

The value of herbicide importation was 359.9 million USD amounting to some 101,054 tons of product. Glyphosate-isopropyl ammonium was the most imported herbicide with a value of 122 million USD amounting to some 54,911 tons of product, followed by paraquat dichloride, ametryn and atrazine:

In total 7,772 tons of fungicides valued at about 108.3 million USD were imported. The top 2 most imported fungicides were difenoconazole and propiconazole, followed by azoxystrobin/difenoconazole combination, propineb, mancozeb and azoxystrobin, etc:

A total of 10,428 tons of insecticides were imported valued at 97.92 million USD. In terms of total import value Dinotefuran was the most important insecticide. Imidacloprid and chlorpyrifos took the second and third place. Chlorantraniliprole was fourth place on the list:
