China to Issue New Pesticide Regulation by December 2012
Late last month in Nanjing, Sui Pengfei, director of the ICAMA (Institute for the control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture) revealed in an industrial conference that China to issue new regulation for pesticide and the legal text will be promulgated by December 2012 the latest.

China MoC Accept Antidumping Complaint from Domestic Pesticide Companies
On 21st September, 2012, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has announced on its website to launch anti-dumping investigation against the pyridine imported from Japan and India. The decision was made under the petition from four major pesticide companies. On August 2nd, 2012, Anhui Guoxing Biochem, Nanjing Redsun, Weifang Lvba and Nantong Ruili Chemicals have jointly filed a complaint with the MoC, alleging dumping of pyridine from Japanese and Indian Manufacturers.

Hunan to Blacklist illegal pesticide Manufacturers and Distributors
China Hunan Department of Agriculture promulgated two local laws regarding pesticide management, the “blacklist management system on pesticide” and the “inspection system on pesticide”. As a major agricultural and agrochemical consumption province in China, Hunan is to strengthening its supervision on the crop protection market by increasing and routinizing its inspection upon the agrochemical producers and distributors.

Japan to Examine Difenoconazole Residue of Edamame Commodities from China
According to China Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture(ICAMA), the Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare ordered on September 4, 2012 to the food process companies that all the edamame from China shall be examined the difenoconazole residual level.

MoA to Determine Budget Plan of Pesticide Management for 2013
The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture noticed to its affiliates and subordinates on August 28, 2012 about next year’s budget plan for agriculture items. For agrochemical concerned section, the budget plan is to funding fees to conduct risk and safety assessment of several ais and registration trials on minor-crops as well as MRLs establishment.

China Increases Inspections on Pesticide Distributors and Producers
Chinese Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) have jointly released a notice on August 16, 2012 and asked the competent authorities to strengthen inspections on domestic marketing activities in the crop protection field.
