For the past one and a half year, REACH24H Consulting Group has successfully completed the approval application of active substance under EU BPR regulation, and helped three Asia companies to be listed onto the BPR Article 95 List. These achievements have made REACH24H the only consulting group in Asia to independently accomplish the BPR registration application for new active substances. The achievements also contribute a lot to the companies’ competitiveness in the EU market and make it possible for them to compete for million dollar orders.
Since 2008, experts from REACH24H has proactively paid their attention to EU BPD and BPR and continuously kept an eye on the regulation updates. Before BPR came into effect, three companies came to REACH24H for compliance help of a new active substance for biocidal products. Experts who are proficient in regulation compliance, physicochemical knowledge, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmentology and non-test method played important roles in the compliance project. After a comprehensive evaluation of the active substance considering both the regulatory and technical issues, an optimum regulation compliance scheme was proposed. Along with the scheme, the complicated BPR registration application project was accomplished within one and a half year and has now passed the completeness check of ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) and Member State Competent Authority (Ctgb of Netherland). As the first Asia submitter for active substance approval application, REACH24H overcame obstacles in regional and technical bias, taking the interest of the Asian companies as own duty all the time. During the project, communication channels with ECHA and competent authorities were set up. Through promoting the regulation reform, measures which are beneficial to non-EU companies were taking to help them overcome the technical barriers to trade. In the meanwhile, REACH24H built a smooth cooperation with like-minded organizations, and gathered valuable experience in the regulation compliance project.
Following those achievements, the next great challenge will be the BPR product authorization. To cope with this, REACH24H has already started a deep research, hoping to contribute more to the smooth export of biocidal products.
