On July 12, 2013, Taiwan Council of Agricultural (COA), Executive Yuan issued the Announcement 1021487227 and the Annoucement 1021487233 to ban 10 and restrict 39 formulated pesticide products.
The manufacturing, processing and importing of mevinphos EC 10% mevinphos AS 10% , disulfoton GR 5% azinphos-methyl WP 25%, dicrotophos + trichlorfon AS 50%, fenpropathrin+methamidophos EC 45%, paraquat + diuron WP 60% and paraquat + diuron SC 42.5% should be banned, starting from July 15 2013. The marketing and use of the products will be stopped from January 1, 2014.
The manufacturing, processing and importing of methanidophos AS 50%and the demeton-S-methyl EC 25% will be banned from Jan 1, 2014 and the marketing and uses will be stopped from Jan 1, 2015.
COA cancelled the usage and use range of 39 formulated pesticides and the use of the products will be restricted from different timelines:
