On April 16, 2013, the MoA solicited opinions on 1280 MRLs of 113 ais in food. Most of the ais have already been included in the “Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Food (GB2763-2012)”, which has been implemented on Mar 1 2013. However, the draft covered more crop ranges and some of the MRLs are more suited to the Chinese diet composition and plantation structure.
Among them, 1259 MRLS of 106 ais were introduced from the CAC (Codex Alimentarius Commission) standards, other 21 MRLs of 7ais were established under the references from other developed countries and international organizations.
Meanwhile, MoA is to revise the Annex A in GB 2763-2012, the new revision was together published for opinions. The comment will be accepted until May 17 2013.
